The Water Gathering

A day for women who want their life
and work to feel rooted instead of rushed.

Saturday August 8th | 3:00pm–9:00 pm
Fairhaven Farm, Duluth, MN

A day devoted to your own life.

Most women spend their weekends catching up on everything they didn't finish during the week. The Water Gathering is an evening set aside for something else entirely: your own ideas, your own work, and the part of your life that keeps trying to resurface and be tended.

There comes a point every summer when life is rushing far too quickly.

Days are spent putting out fires.
There just isnt energy left for your self-care.

You’ve been executing everyone else's plans. You crave the calm of diving into your own life’s trajectory.

The project you can't stop thinking about. The business that's still living in a notebook. The room you've wanted to redesign. The application you've almost submitted three different times. The conversation you know would change something if you finally had it.

The Water Gathering is an evening devoted to your life.

We'll spend the afternoon and evening surrounded by gardens, open fields, fresh air, nourishing food, movement, and women who understand what it feels like to have something important they want to make room for.

By the time you drive home, the thing that has been taking up so much space in your mind will finally have somewhere to go. You'll have made meaningful progress, found your next steps, and experienced a way of working that feels spacious enough to return to again and again.

Who This is For

This day is for the woman who finishes everyone else's work before making time
for her own.

For the woman whose ideas arrive faster
than she can organize them.

For the woman who keeps saying,
"I'll work on it when things calm down."

For the woman who has built a beautiful life for other people while quietly wondering when she'll have the chance to build a little more of her own.

If any part of that feels familiar, we saved you a seat.

What Happens Here

Something changes after a few hours outside.

Conversation becomes easier, your thoughts stop interrupting one another, and the work that's been scattered across a dozen mental tabs begins gathering itself into something you can actually hold.

The day moves between focused creativity, wandering the gardens, a shared meal, movement, quiet reflection, and conversation with women who are tending to lives of their own.

There is a clearing of mental space for ideas to settle naturally, enough structure to keep moving forward, and energizing playfulness to remember that meaningful work can also feel deeply enjoyable.

Many women arrive believing they need more discipline.

Most leave realizing they simply haven't had enough uninterrupted time to hear themselves think.

Your Guide

I'm Terese.

I was born on the shore of Lake Superior and raised on a fourth-generation farm in northern Minnesota, where the seasons shaped everything from how we worked to when we rested. Long before I had language for it, I was learning that the natural world has its own intelligence. The lake never hurried. The fields never bloomed all at once. Even the longest winters carried the quiet promise that spring would return.

Years later, after working as an artist, exhibit designer, muralist, teacher, and creative business owner, I found myself asking a question I couldn't ignore:

Why did work feel so much easier outside than it ever did at my desk?

That question changed the direction of my life.

I began paying closer attention to the rhythms that had surrounded me since childhood, studying everything from movement practices and Ayurveda to elemental traditions, seasonal living, and the ways women naturally move through cycles of energy, creativity, and rest. Again and again, I found myself returning to the same simple truth: we already know how to live this way. Sometimes we simply need the right environment to remember.

Today, I create gatherings that feel less like workshops and more like a return to something familiar. A slower conversation. A shared meal. A few uninterrupted hours to think clearly. Time outside. Time together. Time to finally give your own life the same care you so often give everyone else's.

The Water Gathering ; is the kind of day I've wished existed for years.

I'm so glad you're here.

The Water Gathering is for women who are building beautiful lives and want their work to feel more connected to their bodies and the natural world without burnout.

Elemental Focus

Throughout the afternoon you'll experience a simple framework inspired by the rhythms of the natural world. Some moments invite planning. Others ask for courage, reflection, perspective, or trust. Once you begin noticing these rhythms, work becomes easier to organize because you're responding to what's actually needed instead of approaching every task the same way.

See Yourself Clearly

The elements offer a practical way to understand where you are instead of where you think you "should" be. Together we'll notice what's stable, what's shifting, what's asking for action, and what can simply be released.

Work With Nature

Rather than forcing the same approach every day, you'll explore how Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Aether each support different kinds of work. You'll leave with a framework you can return to whenever life or work feels out of balance.

Find Your Next Step

Instead of collecting more ideas, you'll uncover the next action that actually belongs to this season of your life. Clarity often appears when we stop trying to control every outcome.

The work you're meant to do doesn't have to come at the expense of your nervous system. Leave feeling grounded, energized, and connected to a way of working that feels both sustainable and deeply alive.

Deep Work

Bring one project that matters.

We'll spend several uninterrupted hours making real progress together.

There is something unexpectedly comforting about sitting in a room where everyone is quietly tending to the part of life they've been meaning to return to. Momentum has a way of spreading. One person begins. Then another. Before long, the room settles into that rare kind of concentration that feels both deeply personal and quietly shared.

Qoya in Nature

We'll move our bodies, wander the gardens, laugh often, and give ourselves enough unstructured time for fresh ideas to arrive.

After a while, your shoulders soften without you noticing. Your breathing deepens. The pressure to have everything figured out begins to loosen. By evening, many women are surprised by how much clearer they feel simply because they've spent the day paying attention to themselves in a beautiful place.

Farm Dinner & Despacho

We'll gather around a long table for a shared meal before creating a collective despacho (gratitude ceremony) using flowers, herbs, seeds, and natural offerings gathered throughout the afternoon.

To close our evening together, we'll travel together toward the water and offer our despacho in gratitude—for the work that moved forward, the friendships that formed, the courage that surfaced, and the season that's waiting to unfold.

It is a simple ceremony, a beautiful ending, and a gentle reminder that some things ask for our attention, while others simply ask for our trust.

Gather

Coming By Yourself?

Most women do.

By dinner, it rarely feels that way.

There is something wonderfully disarming about spending a day with women who are each tending to a different dream while quietly cheering for one another's progress. Conversations unfold naturally, encouragement becomes contagious, and strangers have a way of feeling familiar by the time the sun begins to set.

We would love to save you a place at the table.

When women gather with openness instead of competition, something remarkable happens. Ideas grow bolder, courage becomes contagious, and the next chapter suddenly feels possible.
